Ive been trying to think of ways to make the diy yeast co2 better. I know when brewing wine etc it must be kept warm for the yeast to work properly, so i thought would this be the same for what we are after, would wrapping the bottles in bubble wrap or tinfoil help the production of co2.

Also is the alcohol by-product ok for consumption or would it be too weak/strong?

thanks neil.

in colder months i wrap my bottles in a towel. so that the yeast doesnt start to slow down (i had noticed less production last winter and the towel was all it took to keep things going along as per usual).
i guess you could drink it. cant get over something like 15-20% alcohol without distillation, but considering what it smells like when i change my bottles, i wouldt dare...bet it would be like drinking alcoholy yeast!
cheers
