hi guys,

its a good today.

As i said before i am cycling my tank with 5 harlequin rasboras. The cycle is nearing its end i think...thank goodness. its a 44 gallon tank with a HOB filter. Its been 5 weeks now since i set the tank up and just yesterday i bought a fresh dated testing kit. Im not sure if its because i just did a 20-25 water change yesterday but im not getting any readings on anything. (all zeros..)

My fish are fed mosly freeze dried foods. 5 teeny meals a day. The staple is reg. flake food, with daily supps. of daphnia, bloodworms, spirulna flakes(spelling?), and brine shrimp. (soon to have plankton and krill, then eventually some live food. )

I know this is impossible and was probably just a sign that my fish are happy but the this morning i was watching tank and noticed my fish were very flourescent and bright and two of my harlequins separated from the school and darted to the back of the tank where most of the plants are. They would chase each other and kind of do this dancing between each other and i saw the smaller one would flip upside down (scared me the first time i saw it) underneath one of the leaves of the plants and the other would be on top of her. Then they would dance more between the plants and do it over again.
I notice if one (im assuming the female) came back to the school, the male would follow her and guide her back to the plants!

im sure they cannot spawn in my water parameters, or at least the fry wont survive but im almost possitive they were dancing and "spawning". Im guessing they are happy. So now im possitive that harlequins are a fish i want to keep even though my water pH is FAAAR from what they prefer. But my fish seem so happy!
i took pictures, lots of em! but i gotta go get my wires(from my g-ma's house) to load them on this labtop.

just wanted to share! thanks

Mating behavour the female with lay under a plant wouldn't worry.
