importing fish

ive never tried this, does it work? have you had any bad experiances and whats a good company to import with ?

Paul_MTS recently received a shipment from Peru, if you wait for him to notice this (or PM him) he should be able to tell you how he did.

Though keep in mind that Paul did not place the order directly or have anyting to do witht he actual import etc. It was done through Oddball Express.

To import your own fish you will need to obtain the nessesary permits and licenses from the from the government unless you go through a middleman such as oddball express or amazon exotics which will take care of the import side of things for you but add a small charge onto the price of your fish. On the whole it is not worth importing your own fish unless you want either a large quantity of fish at prices lower than the lfs give or you want a difficult to obtain species. In most cases there will be a minimum order ammount before the foreign exporters will deal with you so it is best to try and form a group of hobbiests to place a order with you to make up the numbers.
