I've just got a firemouth, i was wondering whether it will be ok with the fish that i currently have??

My other cichlids are very peaceful and never cause any trouble in my tank!

I'm just hoping that firemouth's arn't too aggressive, i read up on them before i got one, apparently they are fairly peaceful fish.

Please can someone give me an opinion on this, thanks!!!

It's difficult to say anything for sure. Firemouth, like most cichlids, have varying personality. Some are hyper aggressive, while others get along with their tank mates (even small ones) just fine. One thing is for sure. They are highly territorial. Expect Firemouth to evict a few fish in "his" territory. This may cause a chain reaction where other territorial fish starts to squable over the remaining territory. I'm particularly concerned about the angel fish and the rasboras (harlequin?).

Anyway see how well the Firemouth gets along with his tank mates. But be ready to find a new home if things don't work out.

Totally agree :good: .... so hard to predict how a cichlid will act when put into established tanks. Def have a spare tank ready if things don't work out.

look at the size of your firemouths mouth - now imagine it doing a really big yawn - see anything in your tank that looks like it might just fit in there?

if it can, chances are one day it will, even if it cant.....
be careful :)

but looks like you have a few cichlids or dwarf cichlids in there already each one of them is a potential trouble maker :)
however, you may just end up with a beautifully stocked and entertaining aquarium to sit and admire...
