would a platy be ok in a 6 gallon unheated tank in a house with a temp of 20-23

Or could i nick the 5foot tanks heater it would just fit sideways

Also with live plants and a fully mature filter it would be good to go yes

During medication should i do daily water changes.

Really the platy would need a heater, set to about 25, but it maybe ok for a while, yes should be ok with a mature filter and plants.

Depends on the medication, usually you finish the course before doing the water changes.

no, it'll be on a thermostat so won't heat it to above whatever temp it's set too.

only issue is if it breaks and sticks in the 'on' position it'd heat the water up v quickly.

Just thought we have one of theese large washing macjiene like biolers that has a warm top will put it on there I seam to rember that keeping tanks about the 27 mark
