This is the area to ask about plants. i have some bannana plants they died off due to the temp change my tank ranges in the area of 60 in winter 80 in summer give or take. some are going to say wow how do your fish survive , they do.
I have a vine plant from a pot that I take and leave in the tank, and it grows slowely. but my tank is bear. nothing on the bottom.
I want to or had seen some fake grass.. if I just place that in there I guess i must keep it clean the tank. b/c i would need stronger filter. as food and waste settles. that answers 1 question in a way. i would like to grow underwater grass, like a lake. but do not know how or where to get what I need.
What I also saw was the Penn plax sub-lights. at the stores and they run over 25.00 and I found a site that sells them for 12.00. Do you hink that I should lay some stuff down to keep it sturdy in place Like some rocks . would the grass be a start to help
1. I want to add grass. for the bottom, will it be helpful or damaging to the tank
2. I want to add the sub-light crystle that changes colour 1 or 2 that will. decore my tank?
3. will it look ugly with grass.
I preferre a clean tank but i preferre to go with grass, but I can always lay a few stones to hold it thre. Please help. it is a 50/50 question to post here
