Hi, I'm sure she has because its soo obvious :p
My Female Kenyi has had her second batch of fry and are still in her mouth they are mouth brooders. I have 5 growing fry survivors at 2cm now and I found 12 babies altogether, she must have had atleast 20. Its been atleast 2 months from her 1st batch. Here are some quick pics i took :) enjoy

I was just thinking of leaving the fry to survive in tank as the first batch survived really well because of al the holes and cracks every where in the ocean rocks. Will the female just let them out her mouth herself, i dont know when she lets them go because last time i had to gently remove them from her mouth which didn't work but since she was in a small breeder tank at the time she just kept bouncing around from stress and the babies automatically popped out her mouth lol. Even when the first time she had fry with the big hill under her mouth i would have never known that she had fry in there, only time I knew is when my sister saw one swimming at front of the tank and just couldn't wait to save just that one. How many fry do you think she would have in her mouth this time, considering its her second batch? Hope more than before :hyper:

Today I have tried catching her because she isn't eating but its prety difficult with all that rock but ave been really close. She was in the congo's cave and the congo came back in from the other end and scared her into the net but got out to quickly before i could lift the net up properly.

would it be a good idea to just leave the babies in her mouth as i feel like im just stressing the malawi with all that chasing & how long will it usually take until she spits them out???

Well now at the moment the female kenyi is still in the tank and her pouch where she keeps all her babies has shrunk and looks like the babies have either escaped from her mouth or she just let them go, but it still looks like she is carrying a few in there as she has still got a small lump under her mouth. I don't think she has even ate yet or properly and it looks like she keeps swallowing something back into her throat so its possible that there are more in there still. However, i haven't seen any fry swimming around tank but with all them holes in the rock its likely that they are hiding out.
