riiiite... i have or at least i think i do 3 amano shrimp see my sig.....they dont come out any more although i know at least one is still alive i saw it the other nite...im sure they are hiding in my castle because they dont like the fish....(in my sig) or the fish have eaten some of them..therefore i have 2 possible tanks they can go in but im not goin to move them if they are going to get eaten!!!

tank 1) heated 23C 1 goldfish thingy dont really know wot it is....see my post in coldwater fish, and a gara pingi pingi...

tank 2) betta, dwarf gourami, bala shark, molly, CAE, loach

i doubt the fish ate them

they are very good at hiding. Sometimes, I don't see mine for weeks, expecially when they shed

but id like to see them....they just dont come out any more i havent seem them for like eva...i only managed to spot one every late at nite when i turnd on my light and saw it scurry away..all the other fish were resting so i guess thats why it came out..

the shrimp do come out at night. There's not much you can do about that. They just hide all day and are not very active.

They just get chased by fish if they ever come out. They are noctunral critters. You could try a moonlight in your tank. That way you could see them at night

hmmm im starting to think saftey in numbers...i wonder if i got a few more wheter theyd stay out and mayb the rest will come out...or maybe not lol

oh yea and wots a moonlight???

moonlight is a type of lighting effect. it gives the tank a lovely deep blue glow that resembles the effect of a moonlit night. its very useful if you want to watch nocturnal fish.
maybe if you could add one to the existing housing in the canopy and use it for a few hours at night to see if the shrimp come out. dont know really know about using it as i have never had the need for one but i'm sure someone can help.
i read from that link they eat a lot of algae, is your tank algae free? it may be they are either coming out at night to feed or the tank hasnt enough algae for them.
hope you find a solution soon. :)

well im not sure whose eating the algae becos of the zebras...but i also use algae wafers so i guess some one must be eating them.....ne more info on the moonlight would be helpful thou.....thanx
