because most of you people are way to up tight about bettas. Yeah, I take great care of my fishes, but any little mistake anyone makes is considered Animal Cruelty. The only way I would ever be able to get a tad bit of advice from any of you is by pretending to be as uptight and over sensitive as you are. I know you guys are all gonna flame and post about this, probably lock it if it offends you that much, but let me tell you, fishes are great pets, but the way you guys treat them, daaaaaamn. You must cry every time one dies. Im sorry, but thats just a tad bit...psycho. Good bye fishforums, and good bye over sensitive betta keepers. May I never run into anyone like you.

a lot of people think fighting bettas is cruel. you would get a similar reaction by going on a dog forum and talking about how you were going to fight pits. animal lovers usually don't take kindly to those sorts of things.

i'm really not sure what to think of you. in some posts, you have seemed like you genuinely care about your fish. in others, you haven't. and yes, a lot of us do cry when a fish dies, especially after all of the work and care we have put into keeping that fish alive. if you want to look at it as money, you would be rather upset after you had invested $100+ in the care of a fish and it died, too, wouldn't you?

just because some people disagree with your views isn't a reason to run off with your tail between your legs, imo. but if that's what you want to do, none of us are stopping you. there are thousands of people on these forums... it's not exactly going to be a huge loss to any of us personally, but it's always nice to have some people around the forums with different viewpoints and personalities. leave if you must, but, for the record, none of us have told you to leave or wanted you to.

I can't believe after like 10 posts that you've made that you would be so supersensitive to what someone has said to you when you were they one that asked for their opinions in the first place. Considering what a bunch of sensitive namby-pambies we all are, we aren't the ones running away with our tails tucked between our legs when the slightest conflict errupts. But, if you can't deal with "psychos" who care about their pets and consider fish to be living, feeling creatures (which - wow! they are, regardless of our social conditioning), I'm sure no one will be shedding any tears to see you go. (We save those for our dead fish. )

Because if they're sick, I put a lot of time into trying to make them better.

Unless you're a completely insensitive person that doesnt pay the slightest amount of attention to your fish, which relies completely on you to survive, you tend to get attached....

you know posting this thread was a strive for attention and you got it, your other thread was locked because people generaly dont like to talk about fighting bettas however if you do wanna talk and get so opinions feel free to pm or email me i wont flame you and will piont you in th right direction because i would much rather you knew how to do it properly and keep the fish health rather than fighting the wrong kind of betta and resulting in serious illness and injury
