I'm So Lucky.....lucky Lucky Lucky !

That refractometer was a good price too...

...I'm not a stalker, there was a thread about then in the marine section :X
Thanks :D very chuffed with my latest purchases. Can't wait to get the refractometer home and play with it :)*) as sad as it sounds - but I'm looking forward to my project - hence the little tanks bought).

Btw. CFC - probably a very awkward size for your large fish (as it's only 2ft wide) but at 7' x 3' x 2' @ 315 US gallons and currently listed at £1.20 this seems pretty amazing (though of course who know what the reserve is, but it is a charity shop).

Ginormous tank

Who knows what that 16 gallon can become :shifty:
Very tempting indeed and I've been playing with the idea for a long time. Funds (and time) are issues though. The three (now four) tanks are already keeping me on my toes and I know full well that stepping into Marine will require even more dedication and time. Perhaps when I get bored of the shrimp breeding programme ;)

Hello All

I am a member of the yahoo group called "freecycling" a bit like e-bay but where peeps give their stuff away for free (cos they need the room), anyway, the Southampton group always has lots of fish stuff to be had. I recommend joining the group nearest to you and keeping you eyes open for a fishkeepers freebie!

Far out Bloozoo. I had to do a quick "in head" currency exchange, but it sounds like you did great. I'm wondering about shipping them though, how much, and I hope they make it okay. I've always found garage sales to be the best place to pick up cheap bargains. $2 or $3 for a 10 gallon setup is average.

Thank blackguppy :) the fancy schmansy bow front 10 gallon was $35 (RRP $88) and the 16 gallon was $8.70 (hood, light & filter included!).

I'm going to pick them up (not far from me) so no shipping / postage involved :D

(Keep in mind everything is almost twice the price than in the USA)
