I'm New Too

Hello all I'm new to this forum as well as, new to the world of tropical fish. I have a 10 gallon aquarium I have my original fish 2 platys, 2 headlight glow tetras, 2 zebra striped dannias, and 1 black molly. now I have added another black molly, a golden algea eater, 2 neon tetras, and 2 black striped tetras( which died the next day) my aqarium is still new to me. and just today have faced new issues with it. I need all the help I can get the pet store where I purchased my fish is no help and problem the reason for my current problems. I just lost about 30 fry I did not know my molly would eat her babies and the pet store told me I could leave them in the same tank.
