Im Making A Spawning Mop

i am making a spawing mop from an old mop's white strings if you know what i mean lol. my question is how long will i have to boil the ll pieces of string for because they have been in floor cleaner.

there like realy hard to get hold of aroun here and when i say hard i mean i havent seen one in the 13 years i have been keeping fish. i cant but anything of ebay because i dont have a card.
any suggestions on what to do next

I really wouldnt suggest using a mop that has been in floor cleaner, you will never get it all out.

use yarn. it couldnt be too hard making one out of it.
