Right now it seems a lost cause. Many of my girls have columnaris (entirely my fault too damnit!) and nothing I've tried is helping. I've tried salt baths, anti internal med, anti fungus and melafix and pimafix. Not all at once I should add! Many started showing the symptoms yesterday. I moved them into a hospital tank yesterday and gave them two salt baths. This morning Vanity I had to put to sleep as it had gotten into her brain and she was in a very bad way. Don't think I've cried so hard in years. :-(
It all started with one of my older girls contracted it from a male she was exposed to for an hour who died from it. I didn't remove her to a hospital tank as I should have but treated the whole tank with anti fungal and anti internal meds. She died a few days ago and now almost all the rest have it and are at varying stages of dieing. Is there nothing I can do now? Do I have to just watch them die? :-( :-( :-(
All tank stats are good. Temp 26C and PH is a shade under 8. NitrIte 0, Ammonia 0.
Hugs,
P.

Sadly antibiotics which you can't get over here only through a doctor or vet.
If you can increase aeration anti finrot med and internal bacteria med by interpet.
Or myxazin and pimafix.

Thanks for replying Wilder. Sadly it's well beyond that now. Lost another two this afternoon and Teelie is well on her way out. Two seem to be unaffected so far. Another three are in the hospital tank with Teelie in varying states of progression. :-(
Hugs,
P.
