does she have an ovipositor?
female bettas can be just as aggressive as males and should never be kept with fish like guppies (don't need to explain why I'm sure you all ready know)

Female Bettas can be successfully kept together, under the right conditions. Most people whould NOT recommend keeping 2 females together, because they usually pick on each other constantly ~ or, they'll eventually turn on each other. I have 2 females together in a 5g, because they're sibling females and they've always been together. There hasn't been any nipping incidents between them, they lurve each other.

The ideal female community is in a 10+ gallon tank with at least 4 girls, tons of plants and hidey spots. Maybe consider getting 2 more girls and investing in a 10g for em? Also, Guppies are a HUGE no-no for Bettas... Guppies are also long-finned, so either the Guppies or the Betta will get beat up eventually.
