I'm Frustrated

I had decided which substrate I wanted and went looking. I have 3 LFS plus walmart near me. Nothing else in reasonable traveling distance. No one carries Eco, ADA, Flourite or Laterite. I foumnd fert tabs and chiclid (sp?) substrate, lots of marine substrates but no plain ol' substrate. Is there anything else I can use in a soon to be planted tank or will I have to order online? I am trying to avoid that due to $$ restrictions. I was able to get play sand For $1./gal. Any ideas?

If you get some plain childrens playsand and wash that out very thoroughly, you can safely use that in your tank as substrate- plus its very cheap .
