I don't know what to do. I would really like to plant all of my tanks, but can't seem to find a light suitable.
I want a low light setup, but cannot find a light system that will work for my 20 gallon high tank, that will give me less than 2wpg. And if I do, it has some crappy white plastic refletor which I don't know how effect they are.
Now I could go high light and high tech (I currently have a 24" 65wtt 6700k pc fixture that is perfect form my 20 gal), but that would mean co2, and daily dosing right? What if I miss a day or dosing, or what about if I go away for a week?
Also, the co2, I have a nutrafin kit, but it would be a really pain changing a mixture for that every week or so even with a diy kit.
And if I ever plant my 105 gallon sometime in the future I would need a pressured system.
This is really why I desperatly want to stay low tech cause all's I would have to do is add a little bit of seachem flourish once a week and add some root tabs every few months.
I don't know what to do. How terribly important is it to have co2 and ferts when over 2wpg, and then the thing's get even more hazy with my 105 gallon because 1.5wpg on that size could then almost be considered high light right and require co2?
My head is spinning lol.
Maby I should just go ahead and use powerful lights and high wpg without co2 and EI (or something similar) and hope for the best. Just do a low light routine on a high light setup.
And suggestions, ideas, or recommendation would be great.
