Hi
Ok, this is my first time in this forum, but I've been on and off in the hobby since... well a very long time. I got my first used 10 gallon tank with chrome frame and metal stand at around the age of 10 and it cost me 10 dollars... 2 weeks worth of distributing papers. It cost me a lot more in activated charcoal and filter floss and way more in fish. I probably had up to 10 at one time, I know NOW not to put that many in there, but I was told differently back then. I got back in the hobby at about 14, then a few years ago with a 120 gallons but the timing was wrong. Now I have two used and filthy 90 gallons no lids, no lights, but pump and canister included. A almost new, used and running 20 gallon on metal frame with led lights that came with three gold fishes. And finally, recently got a used but decent 55 gallon(If I remember correctly) with a good hang on back seachem filter, aquaticlife 36 inch led light, and black stand with a missing door.
I'm doing it the slow way with patience, no definite plan, and a primary goal to eventually have good water quality community tanks of small fishes species like guppies, sword tails, small tetras, and danios, and such. I'm thinking of getting the help of plants to help control for water quality. I bet if the load is low enough, plants can clean the water sufficiently to minimize size and amount of water changes.
This might be a big challenge.
Anyone looking for aquarium decor? Seems like a lot of people are willing to get rid of it more than there are people willing to have some ?
