Hi Guys and girls

I need a little advised from those who are more experienced........

I have recently added some new fish and im not if they are acting right. The Tiger Barbs i have seem to chasing each other in quite an agressive way (there dont appear to be any cuts or damaged fins) and also seem to be flapping thier fins quicker than normal.....

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before and might be able to tell me if something is wrong?

edit ive checked the water and ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all 0 and ph is 7.6 and high ph is 7.8, ive been told the ph should be ok at these levels.

Cheers

From looking at the picture in your signature I would recommend that attach some black backing to the back of your tank. Black looks best. Black card stuck on with tape is good. Other members use vaseline over the back then black bin liner cut to size. Covering the back makes fish feel more secure. You could also do with some more planting in the back right corner.

Tiger Barbs are notorious for irratating each other. You've only really got a minimum sized school but they will eventually establish territory and pecking order. Just be areful about what else you put in with them.

:good:

yeah tigers are renowned for being agressive, i've not kept them but apparently it's best to get as big a group as possible.

Ok, thanks guys!! I guess i will just keep an eye on them for the moment. Maybe re-think my stocking options........

obviously more Tiger Barbs would be best but what about some Green Tiger Barbs? Do they mix well?
