My catfish have had babies.
I've been kicked out the house by my wife so i haven't been looking after tank properly. When i was finally aloud back in the house to sort it out i found that i had something hanging from 1 of my ornaments on closer inspection i saw it was a baby catfist then i couted 11 of them (probably more).
What would be the best thing to do with them?
I also have a really bad snail infestation so what can i do about that?

Thanks

Well the snails are nearly imposs to get rid of, they can self reproduce so you only need 1 that you have missed. They dont cause to much trouble. get a small container or breeder net and put it in there as it will keep it safe from the other fish and you are going to need to get food for it too. You can buy some at you LFS for baby catfish i believe

Some snails are considered helpful e.g trumpet snail cos they eat algae and churn gravel.

some snails are good but if u dont want all of them remove what ones u can and consider a loach of some kind if possable with your tank as they are known for snail removal.

Clown loach is the best option but if your tank isn't big enough have a look through some of the other botia loaches :good:

yoyo loach dont get as big as clowns and do the job.

Before you go to bed, but a piece of cucumber into the tank. When you wake up a bunch of snails should be on the piece of cucumber. You can then chuck it, and repeat the next night.

Loaches are much more effective plus you have another nice addition to your tank  :D
