Hi all

Just notice my two rams have breed, and appear to be quite protective parents. But I have a question should I do any special feeding etc... or just let them get on with it, feeding as nrmal etc.. and what do I do about cleaning the tank - I usually do this on a weekly basis.

Thanks for any advice and I will post some pics later.

Hiya

Congrats!!!

What kind of rams do you have?

I have just bought 3 blue rams, 1 male and 2 female. I cant wait till mine breed.

Sorry no pics they've eaten the fry - now one of them is chasing the other round the tank - so I thinks they are the guilty party - will wait to see if they settle back down - if not I'll move one into another tank for a little while.

i strongly advise not to separate them. the male will most likely chase the female for just a few hours and then settle down. separating them might break the bond they have developed and when reintroduced the fighting would be worse for a while. they will settle but have their little squabbles, and since they have bred once should spawn again around the 25th day after the last eggs were laid. they must like your water. what are your waters parameters

Watch the two females carefully, I had 2 originally and now I have only one! One chased the other to death!
