Congrats! Hopefully with your advice I'll have a similar thing soon! :D

I am going to move my fry from the trap soon though as apparently they will very quickly outgrow it, maybe within a week or two. I,m working on my girlfriend to let me setup a small tank for them untill they are big enough not to be eaten.
Have you read the pinned topics on this section, very helpfull :good:

No fair! She had so many! Mine only had like 5! They look like my platy fry, I love em!

Its so cool. you can almost see them grow. They are four days old now and quite a lot bigger already. It will soon be time to move them into teir own tank :good:

Awwwww they are so so so cute, and a platty or other livebearer are normally pregnant within a hour or overnight from being added with the male again or due to the fact they can retain sperm in there bodies for up2 8 pregnancys I think its been done then they are virtually pregnant as soon as they have given birth.

congrats...i just got 12 platy fry 2 days ago...what are you feeding them thats making them grow so fast? im giving mine freeze dried baby brine shrimp and crushed flakes

Pretty much the same as you crushed flake and crushed freeze dried daphnia mixed togehter. Three times a day, when I get up, when I get home from work and before i go to bed :good:

They are two weeks old now, I will try and get some pics later. It is time to set up their own tank, I will clone my tank later today (its a good job I decided to keep running my small internal filter for such an event) I will have to modify my filter to stop the fry from getting sucked up or infact blown around and use water from the tank they are in. And then maybe catch one if not both female platy's as they are both fit to burst again!
I will never have to pay for fish food again..... don't worry I'm not feeding them to my other fish I'm trading them in at my lfs.
I may have to change my name to 'platy farmer'
