Im A Bit New And Need Help!

what those it mean if most of ur fish is at the top eating some kind of whit stuff i thought it could be alge but im not sure. any ideas of what i should do?

what kind of white stuff? is it just scum?
how longs the tank been running for? have you added any meds lately?

my tank has been running for 5 weeks. there was a little bit on the first few weeks. but i did clean the hole tank out, gravel and added new water with aquatetris. but what ever it is it eats it but it never runs out.

since i added the new water the tank is getting a lot dirtyer but all my fish are up there appart from my 3 tetris. What is scum and is it dangerous and how do u get rid of it.

is it reg tap water your using? whats the filter you have?
can you skim this stuff off the top with a net.

it sounds to me your fish are not up there eating it. they are panting for breath. what filtration/circulation do you have on this tank

i have to agree,
there seems to be a lack of oxygen,
apart from conditioner are you adding anything else, have you tested for ammoina and nitrite? if so whats the readings, also what size is this tank.

well thats what i thought but u can actully see a 3-4 cm poo coming out because i was worried that might happen so i went to the pet shop and they said nothing what whould help so i strted reading about i look at the simtoms but none of them have it.

i will try the net thing but its not like thick white layer u have to put the light on it to see it. waters all clear well i will have to buy the product for the water i have ran out at the moment

so what would i have to do to equal the amount of oxygen?

you didnt do a water change without conditioner that you added straight to the tank did you?
do you have the test results for the water quality?

when i cleaned my tank i put the gavel back in then the water with the conditioner poured it inthe tank it went all misty i waited about 5 hours it cleared up ( the filter was on its i pinhead 320) the i checked the temp and put the fish in.
but they have been in there 4 about 1 and a half

What fish have you got in it?
What temp. is it at?
Did you cycle the tank without fish before stocking or is you tank currently cycling with fish?
