I"m sorry to keep spamming new threads, but I was looking online for plants, and one that I bought a while ago was under the illegal section, as in it's illegal in the US. What shoud I do? Is it ok to keep if im careful abou tit, or do I need to bleach the lot of it? It's not a particularly pretty plant, but it does provide good covor, and reproduces really fast.

What plant is it?

I think it's Hygrophila polysperma, but I bought it in the cultivated form. I got it from a reputable dealing in the US on ebay. The only difference between my plants and the pictures are mine branch A LOT more, then the branches fall off and make new plants.

You "think" it's that plant, but do not know for sure, right? A few years back we had a "noxious weed" growing at the base of our driveway (we didn't know this) and we were told to pull it out and get rid of it in our yard waste bin. Inside your tank, it should be fine. Be sure it doesn't take over! Since you can't be 100% certain it's that plant, you're not technically doing anything wrong.

It'll be fine. Unless the government is spying on you for live feed, there's no reason you should have to get rid of it.

Please do bear in mind, however, that it is your responsibility for the environment to dispose of it properly (ie letting it dry out before putting it in the trash, burning it, wrapping it in a bag or bleaching it) in a way that it will not travel from the landfill or compost to local streams and create a huge mess in the local ecosystem.
