Ill platy, please help

just took a quick look over my fish and noticed one of my female platys lying at the bottom which is strange for a start, but I didn’t think that much of it, all of a sudden she made a move and was struggling to swim, her body looks still and her swimming is fast paced and erratic.

I’m not sure if she'll make the morning as I’ve never seen anything like this before, is it something that might spread? Am I best to quarantine now?

If you got a place to put the suspect I would say do so. Better safe than sorry!

Make up a hospital tank and put her in there until she gets better, also compare the status of your fish to illnesses to try and track down what it could be, as paulthegreat said, it is better safe than sorry, also it will also allow you the chance to treat her directly if it is a illness since she would be in a seperate tank and should make a quicker recovery
