Hello, quick one i think.

I have a red and blonde male guppy who i have noticed has gone quite skinny, also has just started sitting on the bottom of the tank. All the other fish in my 20 gal (which are in my profile) are fine including my other male. I think it could just be old age, there are no other obvious signs of illness. I know guppies can live as long as 2 years, but i also read in practical fishkeeping that it can be as little as one year.

Any thoughts?

Can you separate him out into another tank? It's always best to quarantine fish you think might be sick just in case there is anything contagious. I would see if you can get a separate tank and crank up the heat to 80F. Just make sure whatever water he is in is really clean.

I think your link was censored by this forums, because they don't want you browsing other forums. That is just wrong. That is why these forums are not my favorite place to look for information. I go here instead.

Well never mind the disease lists (I've had a look at a few as part of my fish keeping research) I found the guppy dead when i got home tonight. :rip:

It's a shame it was one of my favourite's too, his colour was fantastic, red and white probably what you would call a blonde guppy? I definitely think I'm going to get some more and keep them in what is now my cory grow on tank, or perhaps some endlers!
