Ill Guppies?

Hi all just got home and found my two guppies sat on the bottom of the tank!!!!
been watching them for a little while with the lights on instead of room lights and one has come off the bottom and is swimming around but his dorsal fin is up like hairs on a cat.

the other one is still sat on the bottom and has swam a little bit but mainly hovering at the bottom of the tank no way near as adventuress as usual.

tested water and they are fine, only thing i have done is changed my feeding pattern to daily from every 3 days.

any ideas??

UPDATE

been a few mins now and the second guppy has come off the bottom but the first one is following him around like mad and appears to be kissing lol.

but they keep cuddling up close to each other, if they weren't both male it could look like courting maybe?


No the second male has gone back to bottom of tank.

this isn't normal behavior for them.

could it be because i have just got two???

If your water parameters are ok don't worry.

Sometimes when you turn the lights on if fish are in a 'sleep mode' they become very disorientated for a while and will act strangly.

Even if you have 2 males they will exhibit courtship behaviour! Guppies are serial sex pests and will chase anything and everything trying to mate!!

thanks guys, left them to it over night and woke up today and they seem ok.

still pestering each other, they used to have two others until last week where one got trapped behind the filter and the other just died the following die.
should i go out and buy a few more?
am getting a 320ltr on friday and was thinking on turning my 50ltr into a fry tank, should i wait until i am set up or get some males in the mean time?

you are going to have to get your new tank cycled before you add any fish - this will take about 6 weeks. When you do buy more fish if they are guppies and not all males you will need 2 females to every male.
