Hi, i've had 4 bronze cory's for a while now, but the biggest one has just started resting on the gravel and not moving, its fins are 'breaking apart' and turning white. I lost a cory yesterday to the same symptoms.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Corys are vry prone to bacterial infections and with the fins it sounds like one, can you issolate the cory for treatment with a bacterial med.
What are your stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

i'll have to go to my lfs and get some medicine tomorrow. I was gonna buy a test kit today when i got some bloodworm but they're more expensive than i thought :X

Would you recommend any particular medicine?

Edit: i have an empty 2.5 gallon tank, would it be ok to put treated water in and put him straight in?

Take a sample of your tank water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you.
Yes the little issolation tank will be fine as long as you have an heater and airstone, as the med will reduce 02 in the water.
Myxazin, i would get the med fast as bacteria infections can soon mulitply and cause the fish to die.
