I've had my second betta(Clarry) for 3 months now. He was initially a very lively claret red crowntail who spent most of his days dashing round his tank or flaring at himself. The past 2 mornings I've had to help him to the surface to breathe. He's remained there for the rest of the day barely moving.
About 6 weeks ago I noticed these symptoms and they just keep coming.
ridge across his spine- valley below
slight s shape to spine when viewed from above
difficultly turning round- takes a few goes
slightly raised scales- like one of those toy plastic snakes that you hold the tail and it wiggles- no swelling
grey patches- which responded to fungal treatment
Colour loss on body and ventral fin
1 or two white dots near mouth.
I'm pretty sure it's TB. Horrible to watch. Feel pretty helpless. Any suggestions?
Stats as should be. 30l filtered tank, cleaned every 4 days. Aquarium salt- 1g per litre.
