Can somebody please give me some advice, I arrived home today to see my angelfish is floating upside down and has a really swollen tummy and i dont know how to help! It has been in the corner for a few days now but has only flipped upside down and become swollen today. Have tested the water and its all fine and no other fish are ill.

Please help me as i dont want it to die its my favourite one!

Thanks,
Taylar

Its the good ol' swim bladder disorder. Lost my angel fish due to it, probably due to overfeeding.....

I took mine out the tank and gave it the salt treatment, didnt do any good so put him back in the tank and he was dead by the morning :(

Asked the LFS the most humane way of killing a fish and it was, get it in a net and throw it at a wall as hard as you can....

Couldnt do that so left him in the main tank overnight :(

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Swim bladder can be caused by bad water quality, poor diet, to many dried foods, injury, birth defect, bacterial infection of the swim bladder, internal parasites.

What do you feed the fish?
