who is always ok in himself (except for the odd 5 mins) that has uneven looking scales (I would say raised but that might be an exaggeration) but wasn't bloated, has had problems with tatty fins and now has white inside gills what would you think was wrong with him?

Maybe the start of dropsy like symptoms

bloating can sometimes be quite late.

I don't think Dropsy coz he's been like it for so long, though I could be wrong. Bacterial Infection I thought of too. I'm worried coz he's starting to look the same way as another Platy I had who died at Christmas.
