I have a 320 Liters fish tank (thats 85 gallons).

If i want to only keep bettas and some few buttom fishes to eat algee and such..
what plants should i have?
Sand or stone?
Lots of hidding places?
Should the pump make alot of bubbles, or should i keep it alittle bit below the surface to not make much noise?
I mean, i'm new and i'm only thinking about it so far.

Should i have more then one tank? Just help me out, i'd really appricate (i spelled it wrong) it.

I'm confused?...but I will try to answer to the best of what I understand...You have an 85gal tank that you were wondering if it is suitable to keep bettas in? Well...if you wanna keep male bettas...they NEED to be housed seperately...but an 85gal tank would be aweasome for an all girl betta sorority tank! :) you could keep quite a few girls in there with some bottom feeders...I have 5 girls and some cories in a 20gal they LOVE it hehe...I use all silk plants in mine although if you want to use live then thats fine some people prefere its up to you really...as far as substrate also a preference I think...I use gravel...but again your choice...my filter is a whisper one that came with my tank, but I found some plants with suction cups on them and placed them under the waterfall so the current wasnt so strong...(there is still a current...just not a gushing one! haha and they kinda like to play in it anyways) youll need a heater...and things like caves and rocks and lots of plants are good so they have places to have alone time...everyone needs a down time once in a while...

As far as breeding goes...(if thats what you are implying I wasnt quite sure) an 85 gal is wayyy to big...if your at all interested in breeding bettas I suggest getting a male and keeping him in at LEAST in a 1gal tank for a while and start with your sorority...and read the pinned topics on here about betta care and everything else...including breeding if your still interested then if you have more questions thats what we're here for! Anyways hope I was of SOME help at least haha Good luck~!

Mh, so my tank is to big for that?
Well, perhaps any of you have an idea what i should do then?
I mean, i can't really think out what type of fishes i want..

I don't want cichilds or whatever and discus, i find them to be boring/not so pretty.
And i don't want a normal fish tank with just a bunch of random fishes...

well I cant really make that decision it should really be up to you what type of fish you want...just let me say that I think an all girl betta tank would be quite beautiful maybe I can get some pictures of mine...I have 5 fish of all different colors 2 types of dwarf cories and albino corries in a nice tank and although its not THAT random with different species and things...with all the different colors and sizes my betta girls come in...it makes for quite a "random" tank if I do say so myself...That I believe, is the beauty of a sorority tank...you want all pink fish...sure have all pink....want every color under the rainbow...haha you could probably have that too....I dont know much about other fish besides the ones I listed...but I am sure others here can help you on here....:) Good luck with whatever you choose...

Now I'll jump in. Have you thought of the Rasbora breeds? Harlequins are very lovely, and really blossom when kept in a semi-species tank. I only have a group of bottom feeders with them. My advice is that if you like a schooling fish, go with a large number of one species rather than the "bunch of random fishes". Another suggestion, along those lines is a biotope aquarium. Harlequins and bettas, for example belong in a similar biotope. A group of females, keeping the sorority idea going, say like 12-15, with a school of 25 harlequins, and then perhaps a small army of kuhli loaches, another fish from a similar region, say about 10. This would be an incredible set up, very active and very beautiful, especially if you explore the idea of a planted aquarium, which I would suggest, with Cryptocrynes and other native Asian species. The large amount of Harlequins allows you to witness schooling behavior that you normally wouldn't see in a normal setup with only say 4-6. I have found very little trouble with keeping harlequins with bettas, they really don't pay much attention to each other, especially if the Harlequin school is large enough. This is just a suggestion, but if you like bettas and want something perhaps a little different for you setup, then this is just an idea. Anybody care to expand? I think 85 gallons is more than enough space to house the females and the harlequins, especially if there's caves, plants, wood, and other hiding places. This is giving me thoughts. :)

Not a bad idea, i'll think about it, i just want to have alot of option to choose from.

And any suggestions are very welcome..

But i guess i better save up my money since im currently dry at the moment. (all the money went to buy the fish tank itself)

Whats a Cryptocryn?
I cant find any pictures.. Could you please upload a picture or a link?
