just came across this site, oh how i'd love to set up a company like that.

some great tanks in here, come on in.
Well you know everyone has to start somewhere :) it might take longer for those without huge / substantial financial backing, but you could start by making an awesome website and offering the service (in your spare time) starting in the local area - or whatever you feel is a feasible.
And if the day comes that the demand is strong and great enough, you can step away from your current career and take over your new one.
Yes, I know - easier said than done. BUT :
Where there is a will (strong enough) there is a way ;)

I'm a firm believer in "anything is possible" (if the desire and will is strong enough). Within some reason obviously. We can't all walk on water

:( so good, if ever you would be doing that it would be as if you weren't working at all ! because you are doing what you like to do....

That would be a fun job! Or even better Animal Planet or BBC can give you your own show where you take nasty aquariums and make them beautiful. Like Extreme Makeover for tanks.

It would certainly be a dream job, I've often wished I could set up my own shop catered for the planted aquarium fan, I'd stock fish but nothing too mental, the main stuff would be hard to find plants and stuff like that.

My thoughts precisely - that's why I started up Aqua Essentials (www.aquaessentials.co.uk) :)

oh well that answers my question...you own aquaessentials. I bought my aquascaping kit from there (the tweezers/rake/scissors).

lol spent most of my wages there for the past few months- excellent service may i add.
