If a fish is suffering from a bladder infection, and it isn't treated properly, will the fish ultimately die? or will it eventually, through much suffering, self heal? Just curious.

All you can do for swim bladder once it has progressed is a epson salt bath, and some shelled peas.
Is the fish looking bloated or tipping upside down, if so that's when its progressed.
Just laying to oneside you stand a chance of saving them.
