can anyone tell me what type of cichlids walmart sells ... im just curious .. thanks

i highly highly do not recommend fish from walmart...they are uncared for, tanks are in terrible condition, the p.h. is way off for cichlids (did a water sample on my local walmart)...and the employees have no idea what they are talking about...i recommend a local fish store that is store owned or close to it...

i do not intend on buyin fish from walmart. i like those cichlids though, and want to know what type they are. all the tag says is african cichlids

Mixed tanks can have just about anything, mostly hybrids though. Depends on the location and who their suppliers are.

And bluedollars, that isn't necessarily true, just a generalization, my local Walmart does an excellent job of caring for their fish.

Thats the problem with these large chain store some will take care of there fish while others just don't care. The fish at my local walmart wouldn't go near my tank for instance but the petco down the road takes care of there fish. All i have seen in my walmart is albino scofoli , red zebras , aurutus and kenyi in there tanks ( bowls lol).
