Just wondering what your opinion is on what kind/tail types of females I have. These are my new girls.

First one:

Second one (she’s unhappy because the first one was harassing her- they’ve been separated):

This is Desire. Double tail or a rip? What do you think? And about those bars, she almost always has them, and I've had her for several days now. ~_-

Number one - VT female with CT trait

Number two - Same as one from what i can see

Number three - She is indeed a true DT, her top fin is much larger than that of a normal female. DT's tend to have these to balance them out when they swim.

Loverly they all are.

*Glee*

So if I bred the first one with a crowntail, would I get many VTs?

That reminds me, how do you tell the differance between differant fin types and such in females? I have a hard time, but I don't know what to look for either.

I'm a bit shakey on this too, so consult the pinned topic above for exact facts.

VT's have a less rounded tail ad PLK's have a rounder tail.
CT x CT/VT will probaly give you 80% VT and 20% CT as VT is a dominant gene, but don't quote me on that, i have never bred bettas, i only read about the process and genetic reaccurance.

EDIT: Might want to do some insight research on the genetics.

No problem.

Do lots of research and you will go far.
A few really great breeders are on this site too, for example Wuvmybetta and Yeeviabetta, all breeders are different and may have strong opinions, so look around for what you think is possible/safe/doable.
