Identifying Bristlenose pleco's sex

i was just curious as to if it is true that a female bristlenose pleco has mainly bristles to the side or no bristles at all and the male is the one with the bristle's on the sides and between the eye's


also curious as to what the breeding conditions are in order to breed them properly.

Female has no "beard" or just short ones. Male has clear "beard". Female are smaller, thicker and mouth is smaller too.
