Identify This Fish Please?

He was a cichlid and kept in a tank all by himself. He was about 7 or 8 inches long and was a light blue color He sort of looked like this

He had the same spot there but none of the other markings. The salesman said I couldn't buy him because he'd kill my Oscar definitely.

From the info you gave its pretty hard but it could it have been a Green Terror or a Dovii?

yeah i'd say Green Terror or maybe a Texas. Oscar's can hold their own against these guys.

It does resemble the Texas Cichlid. I looked up some pictures on yahoo and I think it looks a lot like that or the Dovii?

I have a tiger oscar and parrot cichlid in my 120 gallon now. Would it be a bad idea to add him?

I would advise aginst it the oscar and the parrot already have their territory and adding another aggesive fish like a Green Terror ,Texas or an insane killing machine like a Dovii, your tank would pobabaly turn in to a war zone.

Tend to agree, the Oscar would probably be OK but i wouldn't give the parrot much of a chance
