Hi. Have a new 55 gallon saltwater setup. Been cycling for 2 weeks now and have noticed a small friend. Have no idea what it is. Could someone ID this for me.

Thanks,

I posted this in the newbie section and was told I might have more success here. Didn't know how to move the post so I just re-created it.

That is not a good thing to have.........It's Aptasia (SP) thay can go wild in your tank. Get some peperment shrimp and the will eat it all up.

Good luck

You'll want peppermint shrimp (make sure you get the right species) to eat the offshoots. For the one pictured and any others that size, you are not likely to have much luck. You could try a copperband butterfly depending on your other fish (if you have any other butterflies or tang, forget it), or get some Joe's Juice and squirt it in and that'll kill the big ones.
