hello everyone, just joined this forum.

ive been searching for a reason that my 2 clown loaches have developed a white (colourless) spot on their heads in the same spot on both fish. It is about the size of a pea on both fish ( it doesnt protrude out of the fish or anything). Ihave recently introduced 3 small algae eating fish i forgot the name of them and a chinese fighting fish that my nephew won at a carnival. there is also two larger algae eaters in the tank that are about 7 years old.

tank: 30 gallon
age: 10 years
filter: eheim external

The tank has been healthy for most of the 10 years, i originally had 3 loaches but one died last year, the 2 that are left are about 3 inches long.
I dont have my camera here and tried to take some decent photos with my phone but cant get the pictures on the computer. I used google to view images of ich, and have not really found anything similar to what my fish have. However i have recently introduced new fish so i suspect some sort of disease was introduced.

Any help would be appreciated and if u guys need pictures to help diagnose the situation, i will have my wife bring my camera when she comes to this house next week.

thank you in advance.

Your tanks overstocked for a 30 gallon tank.
Clown loaches need to be kept in no less than a group of 3. Need large tanks of 90 gallons.
The tanks also sounds to small for the older algae eaters.

Can you post water stats please in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
List all the fish you have in tank, Size, how many, which type of fish.

Does the spot have any redness or pinkness to it. On the outside of the spot, or in the centre of the spot.
Spots that present themselves on the head region can be columnaris spots.
Dosn't sound like white spot if the spot is the size of a pea.
Does the spot look hard, or soft like filled with fluid.

clown loaches are fine in a 30 gallon but just be prepared to rehome or get a bigger tank when they get bigger which will happen, But at the moment i would recoment uppin the temp to 29/30 and doing water changes cause if it is whitespot this will help get rid of it but you will need a whitespot remover, But if its not whitespot i dont know.

Don't raise the temp if you are not convinced it whitespot.
High temps makes columnaris worse as the bacteria multiplys faster.
