I have a 29 gallon. I need some ideas. I currently have 1 angelfish, a fem. betta and 5 cories in it. I may rehome the betta. I want a pretty active tank. I was thinking an RTBS, I have seen online it has been recommended for 50 gallon tanks also I've seen it recommended for a 36 inch tank, mine is 30 long, I think it's doable. And maybe a gourami and a few kuhlie loaches and/or weather loaches. And Ottos an a BN pleco. And I like barbs too.

This list is IMO too much but it's just to get an idea.

I would appreciate any help you give me, and if you have other suggestions for fish I could put in there I'd appreciate it.

RTBS are nice fish but are pretty aggressive. In most cases they need to be housed with " robust " fish, like larger cichlids, or even tiger barbs. A gourami could work, what type were you thinking of getting? My personal favourite are pearl gouramis. I would go with the Kulhie loaches instead of the weather loaches as the weather loaches perfer cold water and get too big for a 30 gallon. Eiter ottos or a BN wold be ok too. What type of barbs do you like?

I like cherry and rosie barbs.

RTBS, I have heard only one of them should be kept together in the same tank. They are aggressive to each other, but they are not really bad to other fish just each other.
I have also heard they should be kept with similar sized fish.
