Hi guys,
I posted a while ago about one of my male bettas loosing his fins and tail. Now that he is in a 5 gal recovering, I need to figure out a way of making the divider in my 60 ltr betta proof- I've tried putting plants in front of it to block their view of each other, but that worked pretty poorly and Tyr just continued to terrorise Seaweed.
Is there any fish friendly way of blocking off their view of each other? I'm really stumped about this.
The only other idea I can think of (and it's one that I really, really don't want to try) is to try Seaweed in my mixed 202 ltr with a sorority of girls and 2 f pearl grouami (introducing him in a breeders trap first) or our 180 ltr down stairs with various tetra and killifish. I know it's been successful for several other members on this site, but I would rather not risk it. He's very sweet and very laid back, but as he's only young this could change once he fully matures, and I don't want him terrorising the 202 or 180 ltr tank mates
If I knew that this would happen to my new male, then I would never have gotten a second one and would have just let Tyr have the whole 60 ltr tank to himself.
Thanks for any ideas
