Hey guys
My co-worker talked me into getting a fish tank, after many months of searching craigslist I found a great deal on a 55 gallon tank. After some TLC it was ready for some fish. The first thing I put in it was a tiger oscar and a green terror. These fish lived together for a few weeks. I then introduced a Jack Dempsey who ended up killing both of these fish.
I took the Jack Dempsey to the fish store because it was too aggressive.
Thinking I was over the aggressive cichlid fish, I ordered a fire eel from the same fish store I brought my Jack Dempsey back to. After doing research I discovered that my aquarium would not be best for a fire eel due to the gravel I just bought for the tank.
Now after many frustrations I am back to square one and need some ideas of how to stock my new aquarium. I bought some cheap fish to keep the nitrogen cycle going.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to fill my tank? Or just want to share what you guys have? Thanks!
