I have a rekord 120 (101x46x31cm) It's about 120L, which is 26 UKG and 31USG. I am thinking of changing this into a Lake Tang tank. But I need to do some more research into it.

It would really help if you could help me with:
- basic information, like preferred water stats.
- Some ideal fish, so that I can do some reading about them
- Any extra equipment/chemicles that I'll need, eg. external filter, buffers, ect. Any prefered brands?

Cheers, in advance!

I'm going to add a bunch of links to check out rather than type a bunch of stuff. Mostly because I'm lazy.

Plenty of filtration. Lake Tanganikya fish are a bit picky about water conditions, so you'll want to make sure your water is as well filtered and clean as possible. Aim for a total tank turn over of 5-8 times per hour.
As for buffers, it just depends on what your ph/gh/kh are now.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. :good:

I've heard tons of good things about eheim canister filters. I have 2 myself and they've been pretty good. I bought them second hand.

I don't think to many people have Lake Tang species here(as far as I know). Most of them seem concentrated on Mbuna or shellies(which I guess is a Tang).
