As were about (in a week or so) to upgrade our Fluval Roma 240L to a custom build 360L with cabinet and wooden top Im in a position to choose the WPG I want for this tank from scratch

I have a FE C02 system with an external reactor and my scape is jungle with mostly low/med light plants I neither have or are desperate to have high light plants at this time (although theres always the future) What WPG should I go for ? If i get 2 x 80 W T5 id have 2.02 WPG the other alternative is to go for twin 2 X 54W but this gives nearer 2.73 WPG which im thinking would involve much more fert dosing to cope with the higher light?

Atm im running approx 1.44 WPG so even going to 2.02 WPG would give me an improved lighing source, my conundrum is it worth running the FE C02 at 2.02 WPG ?

Lower light and C02 is great. Just because the light is lower, it just means the C02 can be lowered. I'd go with the lower, and yes you're right the higher the light, the less room for error with C02. IME you can grow anything with 2.02 wpg and C02.
