puffer seems quite frightened and over matched by craw fish so had another idea, what if i freeze the craw fish and just feed the puffer in peices?

That would be fine. Remember not to give it a basic diet of one thing, try and feed as many different foods as possible. If this is your GSP, then in the wild they like to eat things from the mussel family. Maybe see if you can get some frozen mussels and cockles? My puffers love these. Bloodworm is also something they relish, and like any puffer, see if you can get him some snails to eat. It's good fun to watch them hunt those.

How big is your puffer and how large is the crayfish? My F8's can handle crayfishes up to 1.5 times their length. However, I tried to get crayfishes the same length as my puffers for a faster kill :) You don't want the crayfish to hang around overnight when the puffers are asleep. Crayfishes hunt at night....

Update for everyone :good: :good: :good:

Huge success. All he wanted was a little help breaking the shells. I broke the shell of a snail and threw it in and i could officially say he was mentally insane till all that snail was gone. Thank you all for help as this is huge for me. Now no more fears of his teath overgrowing. :D :D

Nice to hear that. However, if you're only using snails they run out pretty fast...at least in my case. You might need to start breeding and ask your friends to save them for you.
