Dave got a totsy plec at fs but we're not sure what type it or how big it will grow?

Got 3 Metae Cories too

looks like a peckoltia of some sort going to get to about 15cm 6".

Very nice cories. They look very similiar to the Corydoras melini that I have been trying to find

Got a better pic. He/she wasn't for having it before. He was getting picked on be a tank full of barbs so I felt sorry for him. Fish shop assisstants said a customer brought it in and didn't know what it was either.

yea its a clown pleco. no bigger than 4 inches i think.

Yeah i agree its a clown/ringlet plec, a type of wood eating fish that should be supplied with at least 2 different types of driftwood to chew on- also supliment its diet with high protein foods like mussels and prawns and things like cucumber for it to be healthy .

In the future though you should avoid buying plecs that you don't know what they are, you could end up with a monster on your hands- if you are interested in buying a plec from a lfs but are not sure on what it is, just take pics of it at the lfs and post them here .

I realise what your saying but it wasnt exactly like I didn't know what it was at all. He's tiny just now and I would rehome when he got too big. I already had wood in the tank for a plec which I planned to get over a year ago now.
