This has grown like crazy and now has a flower stalk about to hit the surface. Its the long stalk going up through the middle.Any idea what i can do with the "flower" eg re seed from it? If it can't clear the hood and lights i suppose it will burn itself out before too long.
In the shop i bought it from they had a similar stalk coming out through a hole where the filter pipes went in but that doesn't look possible here. Nearest place to let it out is a good 6-8 inches away.

The flower itself isn't too important. Not much you can do with it, or at least I've not heard of anyone using the flower.
It's a nice way of telling you that your Aponogeton is very healthy.
Btw, when the flower opens up out of the water, they are beautiful. Google it
