I don't know how I managed to miss it if its so popular. Thanks for the help my tanks isn't big enough to spread it out so can I throw the odd strands in the pond?

I have that plant.

It's very popular in hoby.

How did you get a flower to grow out of your one?

God knows only had it for 3 days it does get a days worth of natural light and I turn on the tank light when I wake up so around 9am and go to bed around 11-12pm so it gets 16+ hours of light which probably prompts flowering. I also feed my fish flakes in clumps so that there is still some at the bottom for the shrimps to find so the water is very nutrient rich i would imagine. Also added nutrafin aquatic plant food. Substrate is a mixture of sand and large gravel approx 1.5cm deep and I just stuffed it in breaking the stalk a little so that it stays down under the weight of the gravel. Water temps fluctuate between 20-28C on a daily basis, water is quite hard as I am in Essex, water also appears to have a fine film over the top of bacteria I am guessing. Flower has fully opened now and its is quite beautiful.

I have another plant to ID its got a red stem with light green leaves with a reddy tinge to the underneath, leaves grow in pairs and fairly uniform growing approx an inch up the stalk at a time. Where each leaf meets the stem there are also 2 bulbs on the end of individual branches which are green with a slight red colouring on the tips, no flowers as of yet but it appears like it would flower from these mysterious bulbs
