but it isnt a yellow lab. the colour is pasty yellow, it is about 2"long, the same size as my holding yellow lab.... errm what else.. it has currently dug a pit under the filter, it was only small when I gotit and I needed another lab so I got it thinking it was, there were about 15 in the tank at the lfs and i didnt think to look at what they were as i thought i did. the lfs is miles away so I cant go back there and i cant find a number.

Its not a yellow lab. Yellow labs don't have dorsal fins like that.
I'm not a real cichlid expert, so I can't tell you what it is.. But I don't think its part of the mbuna family either. :dunno:
 
yeah I put put my life on it that it isnt a yellow lab... its got the same overall fin structure as a c.moorii
 
as i said yesterday i would say pseudotropheus salousi here is a pic of mine.


then again nose looks a bit different
