I have another plant to ID its got a red stem with light green leaves with a reddy tinge to the underneath, leaves grow in pairs and fairly uniform growing approx an inch up the stalk at a time. Where each leaf meets the stem there are also 2 bulbs on the end of individual branches which are green with a slight red colouring on the tips, no flowers as of yet but it appears like it would flower from these mysterious bulbs. Its looking in a bit of a sad state, but I will add a pic in a sec

Possibly Limnophila aromatica. Produces purplish green opposite leaves with dentate margins even when submerged. Will produce pink or purple flowers if grown in a terrarium.

Closest match I can find.

The picture in that link is labelled Limnophila hippuroides in The Aquarium Plant Handbook with foreword by Takashi Amano.
The picture in this book of Limnophila aromatica does look just like your plant.

If you need to I can scan the book and email picture to you.

Every picture of Limnophili aromatica I have found matches the one on the factoid. If you wouldn't mind can you give me a quick run down of requirements and the such for this plant? if its easier a scanned page will be fine

Are you speaking to me? I believe tigerlssey is reffering to the emersed form (on the right) of limnophila aromatica which looks similar but without a red stem

The one I have identified I believe to be near exact the leafs are the same shape and the flower pods look the same however I haven't gotten them to open yet and show me the money shot of the flowers.

Trying to find exact info on care seems quite hard though

It is a phone picture so didn't come up the greatest but if you look at the final leaves along the stem there are very slight serration of the leaves. Its quite subtle on the actual plantsbut there is definetely serrationon the leaves.

Look at the emails I sent you saltnay, the leaves of L.aromatica in the picture do have serrated leaves.

The picture I have sent you from The Aquarium Plant Handbook is not like any of these pictures and does have the red stem and serrated leaves.

Definatley not L.Aromatica,

It is sometimes reffered to as "rice paddy"

If you ask me it looks like a ludwigia sp. going by the leaves although the red stem throws me. It may not be aquatic, or it my be in its emersed form. I would plant it and see what happens with regards to new growth.

It is planted, was previously in bunches but some of them appear to have rotted so this morning I spread them out with an inch clearance between each and they are directly under the light so hopefully they will have better fortune. They are in a mix of sand and medium sized gravel wanted it to look like a sandy river bed so there is not proper nutrients in the substrate and I added some liquid plant grow.
